Gen-Z Bot ("we", "us", or "our") is an AI-powered conversational assistant. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect the information you provide when you use our platform at genz-bot.app.

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account data:Your name, email address, and hashed password when you register.
• Google OAuth data:If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google. We never receive your Google password.
• Chat content:Messages you send and responses generated by our AI. These are stored to provide session history.
• Usage data:Aggregate usage metrics (e.g. message counts) used to enforce plan limits and improve the service.
• Payment data:Tier and subscription status. We do not store raw card numbers — payment processing is handled by a third-party provider.

• To provide the service:Authenticate your account, persist chat sessions, and return AI-generated replies.
• To enforce plan limits:Track daily message counts against your active tier.
• To communicate with you:Send transactional emails (e.g. account verification, password reset). We do not send marketing email without explicit consent.
• To improve the product:Aggregate, anonymised usage patterns help us improve response quality and platform reliability.

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Chat history is retained to support session continuity; you can delete individual sessions at any time from the chat interface. Deleted data is purged from our systems within 30 days.

We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with:

• AI providers:Prompts are sent to our AI inference provider solely to generate responses.
• Payment processors:Subscription and billing data is shared with our payment provider as necessary to process transactions.
• Law enforcement:Where required by applicable law or a valid legal order.

We use browser localStorage to cache your authentication token and chat history for performance. No third-party tracking cookies are used.

Passwords are hashed using bcrypt before storage. All data in transit is protected by TLS. While we take reasonable precautions, no system is completely secure — please use a strong, unique password.

Depending on your jurisdiction you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to restrict or object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@genz-bot.app.

Gen-Z Bot is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with their information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
